Our Father Ronald Adkins Better Known as Peewee Passed away April 17th 2008 after fighting a short battle with lung cancer he was told Feb. 6th 2008 that he had lung cancer and then shortly after he was admitted in the hospital and again in March he was admitted for the last time they told us he only had three weeks or less to live he spent over two weeks in ICU he was on a ventalator and the doctors said there wasn't much more they could do for him so we brought him home on hospice on April 1st 2008 and he spent his last days here on earth with the family he loved and left behind, we spent everyday with him and made him as comfortable as we possiably could and then on April, 17, 2008 he took his heavenly flight to be with the lord at 10:45am and that was the worst day of all our life's but it proves to us that god only takes the best and that doctors ain't always right our dad lived longer than they gave us with him and that proves that the doctors can't tell you when your going to die only god can take you when it's your time to go but now our Daddy wont have to hurt anymore he is pain free in a land that is filled with laughter and love with our good Lord above.

Here Is A Poem my Sister Tammy Sue (Adkins) Lunsford Wrote For Our Father On What Would Have Been His 65th Birthday

To Our Dad Ronald "Peewee" Adkins on what would have been your 65th Birthday October 21, 1943-April 17, 2008

Dad they'll never be a man
as great as you.
You were the kindest of any I knew.
Your tale talls kept us going,
when all else would fail.
Not being able to hear them,
is like living in hell.
We miss your smile, we miss your face,
but most of all we miss your grace.
It seems like yesterday you were here
trying to help us deal with our fears.
We try each day to deal and cope but,
thru it all we still lose hope.
We thought we'd never lose you,
until that dreaded day.
When the battle with cancer took you away.
The heart was to weak to battle the fight, so
God took you away on his heavenly flight.
We try to understand why God took you away,
because all we ever wanted is for you to stay.
We'll never understand why you had to go
but we want you to know we love you so.

Happy Birthday In Heaven Dad
Love Your Kids Lee, Tina, Tammy and Kathy
We Love You Dad Always.
