My step-father was a good man, who worked hard all his life. He had a talent for building things and gardening. He had a huge, organic garden, with all kinds of vegetables and fruit trees. He maintained his own compost pile. He also made a mean pot of spaghetti. He and Mama would, often, invite us over for a delicious Italian feast, with salad from the garden. You don't know how good a salad can taste until you eat one without pesticides. He liked fishing and loved dogs. Daddy battled and survived throat cancer. He died of Altzheimers. He is survived by his wife, Roena and daughter, Irene,and step-daughters, Marie & LaVerne, grandchildren, Brooke & Britt, g-grandchildren, Lynn, Nicholas, Briana, Courtney & Ryan.
