"Riyo Soma Foster, of Willcox died October 10, 2014 at the age of 88. She was born in Saitama, Japan on October 6, 1926 to Choji Soma and Chisato Kono Soma. Riyo moved to Arizona 50 years ago from Germany with her husband Walter who was serving in the US Army. Riyo attended Calvary Chapel in Benson, was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary #9977 in Sunsites and assisted her husband in all his business operations in the Willcox and Benson areas. On February 17, 1951 in Tokyo, Japan she married Walter Foster who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Wayne) Woodley of Willcox and her grandchildren Chris (Amanda) Woodley of Hereford, Arizona and Kimberly Woodley of Tucson and her great grandchildren Aiden and Avery Woodley. Riyo also has two brothers and one sister surviving in Japan. Besides her husband preceding her in death she had one brother who is deceased. At her request no services will be held and her cremated remains will be buried next to her husband Walter at High Street Cemetery in Benson, Arizona."
