Elizabeth A. Arnold, 77, of the Hilldale section of Plains Township, passed away Thursday morning, July 8, 2010, at her home following an illness. A resident of Plains Township for the past 10 years, she had previously lived on Bradley Street, Plymouth, for 10 years and earlier in Nanticoke. Born on January 20, 1933 in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Antoinette Billino DeHaven. She attended the Nanticoke schools. Elizabeth was a member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, Nanticoke, until its closing. Her main interest in life was her home and family, and she had served as a foster grandmother with the Area Agency on Aging for many years. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Charles W. Arnold, on February 15, 1988; a son, Charles Arnold Jr., in August 2004; and a sister, Mary Bronchik. Surviving are her six children, Ann Mary Kamowski and her husband, David, Dorrance Township; Donna Arnold-Klotz, Nanticoke; Sandra Keown and her husband, Daniel; John Arnold and his wife, Cathy, and Michael Arnold, all of Plains Township, and Mark Arnold, Wanamie; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Bessie DeHaven; as well as nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. Raymond Deviney, officiating. Interment will follow in Edge Hill Cemetery, West Nanticoke section of Plymouth Township. Visitation will be Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
