Gus was veteran of World War ll. He later farmed in Abraham and then in Othello, Washington. He retired in 1978 and he and Eva moved back to Delta. He was a lifelong member of the LDS Church and served as the Branch President of the Abraham Branch. He also served as High Priest group leader, Sunday School teacher, Priesthood, Scoutmaster, Home Teacher, and in many other callings.
He survived by sons: Jerry (Marilyn) Blanch, Delta, Robert (Martha) Blanch, Sam Clemente, California ; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; Brother; Lionel Taylor, Delta, Utah; Sister; Pheobe Bushnell, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 27, 1999, at 4:00 PM, in the Delta 3rd-4th Ward, 197 South 300 West. Friends may call at Nickle Mortuary on Friday from 7 - 8 PM and at the Church on Saturday from 2:30 - 3:40 PM. Burial will be in the Delta Cemetery.
