Brendan Patrik Opdycke 15, of Washington Twp. (Warren County) went to the Lord Friday May 11th, 2007 in Morristown NJ. He was born in Hackettstown NJ April 4 1992; He was the son of Dana and Barbara Blanche Opdycke.

Brendan was an 8th grade Student at St's Phillip and James Catholic School in Phillipsburg NJ. His plans were to attend Bethlehem Catholic High School in the fall. He enjoyed playing football with the Washington Township Panthers and he also planned to play in High School. Brendan loved snow boarding and riding his Quad. He loved to work with his father on tractors, motors of any kind, Landscaping and farm work. He also loved hunting with his Father.

Survivors: Brendan is survived by his loving parents Dana and Barbara Opdycke, a sister Jennifer Marie Opdycke in Philadelphia PA , and Grandparents Jerry and Shirley Blanche and Jean Opdycke. His aunts and uncles include Jerry and Marge Blanche, Alice and Mel Hebel, Kathy and Craig Jones, Jean and Dan Bracey, Ann and Dan Fisher, Mark and Kathy Opdycke, and Gayle and Bob Newbegin. Cousins include: Scott, Matthew, Jordan, Krista, Julie, Jess, Daniel, Jacob, Beth Ann, Amanda, Danny, Lauren, David, Andrea, Adam, Josh, Kyleen, and Jason
Brendan was Pre-deceased by his grandfather Joseph Opdycke Sr., and two uncles Matthew Blanche and Joseph Opdycke Jr.

Brendan Opdycke, 15, of Washington Twp. died late Friday after a chimney from an abandoned mill collapsed on him while he collected earthworms to go fishing, his uncle, Dan Bracey said. Brendan Opdycke was sitting on a rock near the mill in the first block of Plane Hill Road when the chimney collapsed about 6 p.m. A portion collapsed on top of him, causing injuries to his head, torso and legs, police said.
