In 1920 McLennan Co. TX census he appears as D.J. Harrell with wife Mary. In 1930 census McLennan Co. TX he is Dan J. Harrell says married but no wife listed (she died earlier). In 1940 he is David Jackson Harrell a widower in McLennan Co. TX. Death cert says name is Daniel Jackson Harrell. His first wife was Norma Robertson Harrell who is buried at Bosqueville Cemetery also. They appear in 1900 McLennan Co. TX census.

D.J. Harrell, 71, died at his home in Bosqueville at 10:15pm Saturday. Funeral services have been set tentatively set for Monday. Survivors are six sons:
W.E., Penn J., Joe, David J., J.C. and Charley, all of Waco: three daughters, Mrs. J.N. Shaw, Mrs. C.C. Kinney both of Waco, and Mrs. William Teir of Los Angeles;
five brothers, Willis J. of Wichita, Kansas, Arch, J.H. Horace and Guy of Waco. Four sisters; Mrs. J.M. Seawright, Mrs. Hallie Zimmerman, Mrs. William Cocek, Mrs. E.H. Holder all of Waco.
He had been a lifelong resident of Bosqueville, being a merchant, farmer and cotton buyer in the area.
