Son of Christian Frederick Blauer & Rosetta Gerber Blauer. Married Violet Irene Blauer 28 May 1919 in the Logan LDS Temple, Cache, Utah.
He loved to sing & whistle & had a beautiful tenor voice. He played the harmonica very well, also playing the octorina.
He loved baseball playing pitcher for the Lund, Idaho team where he grew up & also played baseball while in the service.
He was a postal carrier for 30 years.
Was a Veteran of WWI having served in the Army medical corps in France & Germany.

It was on a return trip from SLC to visit children, new year day going over the Sardine pass by dry lake where their car went out of control on icy roads & skidded in front of a cattle truck killing Violet instantly and injuring John. He passed away six weeks later from a blood clot due to the injury.
