Tony Edmond Barthelemy was born on May 16, 1991, in New Orleans LA. He was 10 pounds, 6 ounces. Tony was a beautiful child, he was my firstborn handsome son...

My last phone call from my son, Tony, was on Sat., June 17, 2006. We talked and he told me that he and some of his friends were going shopping for Father's Day. He wanted to get his dad a gift. I told him, "Be careful." Tony said, "I will, Mom. Then he asked me, "Did you and Dad get the card's I sent to you?" I said, "Yes, we loved them."

I let him talk to my husband and his brothers, not knowing it was our last call from the son and brother, we love so very much. After, I got the phone back, Tony said, "Mommy, I love you and I want to come home soon." I said, " Mommy loves you too baby, and I am coming to get you soon. He said, "OK. I will call you on Father's Day." No call came from my baby, on Father's Day. I felt something was wrong. My baby called me everyday.

My son was shot, beaten and thrown in the woods, the night before Father's Day!! I did not find this out until two days later. My whole life was turned upside down!!

Tony always talked about horses at the stables. He loved his job working with horses. Now, he is in Heaven riding all the horses he wants.

Tony's life was cut short due to an animal, that kidnapped, beat and shot my baby in the neck. His body was found on Father's Day, June 18, 2006, in a wooded area in Aligers, New Orleans, Louisiana. My son went home to be with Jesus on June 28, 2006, at 11:00 AM. He held on in a coma, and fought for two weeks to live, so all his friends, teachers, and all his family to come and visit him. My beautiful precious son was only 15 years old! Jesus came and took Tony's hand. Tony said, "I am ready now, Father, my life here is done. I want to go home and be with you, God, and see all the Angels riding all the beautiful horses. Please tell my mother, I am sorry, but I have to leave to go to my Heavenly home. But, I will always be with her and my brothers." Tony left and I cried. I cried myself sick, he died in my arms. He is in Heaven with no more pain to carry. It broke my heart to watch my son die! My whole life changed that day.
