MaKayla Kristine Carpenter was a beautiful baby. She had so much love in her heart that it radiated through her eyes. She had the cutest smile, and a wonderful laugh. When in her presence you could only be happy. She brought a family together, and showed us what love meant. I just wish you could be here to enjoy the love you taught us. Mommy will always love you...and you will always be in my heart..and my arms when I close my eyes. You also have Ashley, Mitchell, and KyLee who love you. Even though you were taken from us, it is nice to know that you are not alone. You have many loved ones with you, including your brother Morgan. I know one day we will all be together again, and that keeps me going on. Mommy misses you and Loves you with all of my being. You truely are my PRECIOUS LITTLE SUGAR BEAR, and will live on forever in my heart.
Love you sugar bear, your mommy

This is MaKayla's song....played at her funeral

BABY BLUE

She looked so much like a lady, but she was so much like a child.
A devil when she held me close, an angel when she smiled.
She always held it deep inside, but somehow I always knew
She'd go away when the grass turned green
And the sky turned baby blue.

And baby blue was the color of her eyes.
Baby blue like the Colorado skies.
Like a breath of spring, she came and left,
And I still don't know why,
So here's to you and whoever holds my baby blue tonight.

She brought colors to my life that my eyes had never touched.
And when she taught me how to care, I never cared so much.
I try not to think of her, but I fall asleep and do,
And drift off where the grass is green and the sky is baby blue.

And baby blue was the color of her eyes.
Baby blue like the Colorado skies.
Like a breath of spring, she came and left,
And I still don't know why,
So here's to you and whoever holds my baby blue tonight.

And baby blue was the color of her eyes.
Baby blue like the Colorado skies.
Like a breath of spring, she came and left,
And I still don't know why,
So here's to you and whoever holds my baby blue tonight.
