He was the son of the late James and Inez (Shellin) Holmberg.
Bruce was a 1963 graduate of Warren Area High School and was retired from C.F. Zeigler and Sons Floor Coverings in Hanover, and was employed part-time at Staples in Hanover.
He was an Infantry re-enactor with the 2nd Maryland Fife & Drum Corps, and former member of the Cornplanter Drum & Bugle Corps.
A Vietnam veteran, he served proudly for 10 years in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Hanover.
He was the husband of Virginia S. "Ginny" (Stewart) Holmberg, his wife of 43 years, and surviving, in addition to her, are three children, Michelle Foltz and husband, Patrick of Littlestown, Christopher Holmberg and fiancée, Jewel Joyner, and Jonathan Holmberg and wife, Stephanie, all of Hanover; six grandchildren, Katelynn and Logan Foltz, and Joshua, Zachary, Luke, and Emma Holmberg; and a sister, Pamela Walters of Youngsville.
