Rites Slated For Marazzo
Niagara Falls, Ont. - Onofrio Marazzo, 82, of 1654 Lombard St., died Sunday (July 9, 1961) at his home.
Mr. Marazzo was born in Pagani, Salerno, Italy, Jan. 5, 1879, and has been a resident here for 60 years.
He was the oldest member of the Star of Italy Lodge, Niagara Falls, Ont. and a member of St. Ann's Church.
Mr. Marazzo was employed by the Canadian Carborundum C. for 30 years until he retired 12 years ago.
Surviving are his widow, the former Mary Rose Mitchell; four sons, Mike and Neal Marazzo, both of Niagara Falls, Ont., Frank Marazzo of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Joseph of Vancouver, B.C.; seven daughters, Mrs. Rocco Piro of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Mrs. John Melesh, Mrs. Basil Coccimillo, Mrs. Andrew Storrie, Mrs. Joseph Giagnorio, Mrs. Joseph Biasucci, all of Niagara Falls, Ont., and Miss Virginia Marazzo at home, 29 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the family home where services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
