Obituary:

Betty (Allen) Soluri, 80, of Ontario Avenue, died Sunday (April 16, 2000) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 9, 1919, in Niagara Falls, the daughter of Francis and Mary (Kelly) Allen. Mrs. Soluri attended local schools.

She married Anthony J. Soluri on Aug. 27, 1936, in St. Mary's Church. He died Nov. 18, 1998.

Mrs. Soluri was a homemaker.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, the Madonna Del Perpetuo Soccorso Society of St. Joseph's Church and the Niagara Falls Seniors. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading.

A loving mother and grandmother, her family said she also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Ronald Soluri of Grand Island; three daughters, Joyce M. Soluri of Niagara Falls, Mary Lou Ventry of Suwanee, Ga., and Judith A. Capolupo of Grand Island; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Eleanor F. Piro and the sister of the late Albert Allen and Earl Allen.

Visitation will be from2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Spallino-Amigone Funeral Home, 1300 Pine Ave. Services will begin at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Cataract Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
