Ronald I. Dallefeld Master SGT. Retired 72 of Big Spring died on Friday November 11, 2011 in a Midland hospital. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday November 16, 2011 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rick Cunningham, officiating.

Ronald was born on January 31, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri to Donald and Lois Fangel Dallefeld.They moved to Enid, OK when Ronald was just a baby.He attended area schools including Garber High School.

Ronald enter the Air Force in Oklahoma City,Ok in 1957. He did his basic training at Lackland AFB,Tx and Amarillo AFB,Tx. Ronald was then sent to
Germany and in 1960 was stationed at Webb AFB,Tx.

He met Delma Henley in Midland,Tx and they were married in 1961.

Other bases he was stationed at was Ubon Royal Thai AFB,MacDill AFB,FL, Udorn Royal Thai AFB and in July 1970 back to Webb AFB,Tx,retiring in 1977 when that base closed.
Ronald served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years and retired as a MSGT.

Ronald then went to work in the oil patch working as a pumper, retiring in 2000.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Staked Plains Lodge #598 A. F. & A. M.

Survivors include his wife Delma Dallefeld of Big Spring; one daughter Debra Shumaker and husband John of Dallas; two grandchildren, his favorite granddaughter Paige Guthrie of San Angelo and his favorite grandson Austin Davidson of Mertzon. They lovingly called him pee-paw.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hanger 25 Air Museum Post Office Box 2925 Big Spring, Texas 79721-2925 or to the Vietnam Memorial Committee of Big Spring, Inc Post Office Box 2854 Big Spring, Texas 79721-2854.
