MR. AND MRS. R. R. ALEXANDER, of Burnettsville, will celebrate
their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, August 12, with an open
house and reception from 2 to 5 o'clock in the afternoon at their home.
The former Minnie B. Herman, daughter of the late Richard W.
and Annette Herman, and R. R. Alexander, son of the late Isaac and
Mary Alexander, were married August 15, 1006, at the home of the
bride's parents with the pastor of the Burnettsville Methodist church
officiating.
Mr. Alexander, who is 76. is a Spanish-American War veteran. His
wife was 71 years old last November. They are both lifelong residents
of Burnettsville and members of the Methodist church there.
They are the parents of one daughter, Mrs. Lewis Ridenour, Bur
nettsville. There are also two grandchildren, Jimmy and Vicki Lynn Ridenour.

Final Rites Thursday
MONTICELLO — Raleigh R.
Alexander, 76, retired interior
decorator died at 2:30 Tuesday
afternoon at his Burnettsville
home.
A life resident there, he was a
Spanish American war veteran
having served two years in the
Philippines. Born April 5, 1880,
he was the son of Isaac and
Mary Brackus Alexander. His
marriage on Aug. 15, 1906, was to
Minnie Herman. He was a member
of the Burnettsville Methodist
church.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter,
Mrs. Martha Ridenour, Burnettsville;
two grandchildren,
Vicki Lynn and Jim Ridenour.
The body will be taken from the
Miller funeral home to the residence
where friends may call after
5 o'clock this evening. Final rites
will -be held there at two o'clock
Thursday. The Reverend C. Thomas
Webb will officiate and burial
will be in Davis cemetery.
