John Alan Boland, 78, of Moberly, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Moberly Nursing and Rehab, in Moberly Missouri.
He was born May 8, 1932, to John and Maude Perkins Boland.
He was a member of Carpenter Street Baptist Church in Moberly, where he served as deacon and is presently deacon emeritis, is a 50 year Mason, and worked for the Moberly Public School System in Moberly, Missouri, retiring in 1993.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia, of the home in Moberly Missouri, who he married May 11, 1958; one daughter and son-in-law, and three grandsons, also numerous cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, James Arnold, at birth, and his step mother Myrna Ruth Owings Boland.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, at Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Moberly. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
