Charles "Charlie" Aquilla, son of James Samuel and Florence "Florida" Finettie Kemp CALLAWAY, was orphaned at age 5 in 1910 and was sent to the Methodist Children's home in Decatur. He died at Emory Hospital in Dekalb County. He worked for 30 years as a civilian employee at Ft. McPherson, headquarters of the 3rd Army, in Atlanta.

He had two brothers, Jasper Kemp and Samuel Reiley, and one sister, Pauline (Winn).
