LARUE COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1960
Feelon Richard (Dick) Akin, 86, a retired farmer of the Allendale community, died July 30 [1960] at the Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown. Mr. Akin was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church, and had served as a deacon of the church for a number of years. Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. L.W. Scott and Mrs. Allie Loyall, Allendale, Mrs. O.W. Walker, Creal; 3 sons, C.W. Akin, Creal, Sam Akin, Hodgenville, and Tommy Akin, Louisville; 1 brother, Arch Akin, Hodgenville; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday at Liberty Baptist Church. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Akin, Marvin Akin, Finis Scott, Walton Scott, Arvin Ford and J.T. Walker.
