Mrs. Martin nursed my Dad in ICU at the Barbourville Hospital the week he was there before his passing. Our family will never forget her kindness and tender care for Dad before he passed away. She tried so hard to keep him comfortable and help him get well. Thank you Thelma. You will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Thelma Lee Martin age 64, of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Wednesday – April 15, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of Jesse Martin and the daughter of the late Arnold & Mable (Partin) Broughton of Knox county born to them on February 04, 1945 in Knox county.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the Beacon Baptist Church and like to work in flowers, fish, Camp, and spend time with her Grandchildren. Thelma had been a nurse for 30 years at the Knox County Hospital and had worked at several other hospitals in the area.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arnold & Mable Broughton, one brother Wayne Broughton, and two sisters Connie Harris and Joanna Broughton.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband Jesse Martin, of Barbourville, KY, four sons Dallas James (D.J.)
