Larry's obituary from The Antlers American, dated 15 June 2011:

"Larry Wayne Ellison was born April 14, 1950 in Antlers to Oscar and Emily (White) Ellison. He passed from this life June 8, 2011 in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 61. Larry served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Carol Waller March 9, 1985 in Grand Prairie, Texas, and together they raised two children. Larry was of the Baptist faith and attended the First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, playing at the casino, and spending time with his boys, family and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents: Oscar Ellison & Emily Ellison Spruell. He is survived by his wife: Carol Ellison of the home; two sons: Clinton Ellison of Hugo and Paul Ellison of Antlers; a brother: Bobby Harris & wife Pauline of Antlers; nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Mills & Coffey Chapel in Antlers with Sam Dyer officiating. Musical selections included: "You've Got a Friend in Me," "My Heart Goes On" and "Amazing Grace." Pallbearers included: Roy Headrick, Clint Ellison, Trey Harris, Jim Branum, William Waller and Richard Waller. Honorary pallbearers were Paul Ellison and Bobby Harris. Interment followed at the Antlers City Cemetery in Antlers."

Larry was an active and enthusiastic contributor to Find A Grave before being diagnosed a couple of years ago. His contributor page does not reflect the larger number of memorials he created and transferred and all of the gravesite photos he posted without fulfilling specific photo requests. He, Carol, Paul and Clint attended the Find A Grave gathering in Fort Smith, Arkansas on Veteran's Day weekend in 2006, where a number of contributors first met and became friends. We enjoyed a weekend of fellowship and, specifically, "graving" at the Fort Smith National Cemetery where we photographed as many veteran markers as we could in order to post them on memorials.

Larry Ellison was a good man, and will be greatly missed.
