DIXMONT - John L. Bulley, 80, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Nov. 6, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 28, 1924, in Troy, the son of Ellick and Christine (York) Bulley He served his country in the U.S. Army in the 8th Armored Division mostly in the European Theater. John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Leona; a daughter, Lorraine Bully Parsons of Dixmont; three sisters, Catherine Bishop of Windham, Ruth Erskine and husband, Roger, of Dixmont, Elaine Grendell and husband, Linwood, of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Carl Bulley of E. Baldwin; a granddaughter, Kelly (Parsons) Hersey; and a great-granddaughter, Kristen Hersey, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a stepfather, Ralph Bishop of Dixmont; and a brother, Earl Bulley of Pittsfield. A family graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at Dixmont Corner Cemetery, Dixmont. Gifts in his memory may be made to Dixmont Ambulance for all their help.
