pronounced dead on arrival at
Riverview Hospital about 5:20
p.m. Saturday following an in-
dustrial accident at Nekoosa
Papers Inc.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at Christ Lutheran
Church, Marshfield, the Rev.
Traugott P. Bradtke of-
ficiating, with burial in
Hillside Cemetery,
Marshfield.
Mr. Loomis was born Jan.
25, 1950, at Marshfield, and
graduated in 1968 from
Marshfield Senior High
School. He attended the
University of Wisconsin
Center-Marshfield, and UW-
Madison. He lived most of his
life at Marshfield until mov-
ing to Nekoosa in 1974 where
he was employed at Nekoosa
Papers Inc. as a pulp tester.
Mr. Loomis married the
former Lorelee Ploog on Dec.
9, 1972, at Marshfield.
Surviving are his wife; a
daughter, Shannon, at home;
his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene Loomis, Marshfield;
two sisters, Mrs. Joseph
Steponik, City Point; and Bar-
bara Loomis, Marshfield;
paternal grandmother Mrs.
Hazel Loomis, Rt. 5,
Marshfield; and maternal
grandparents Mr. and Mrs.
Elmo Beauchaine, Rt. 1,
Marshfield.
Friends may call at Hansen
Chapel, Marshfield, from 2 to
9 p.m. Tuesday and at the
church from 10 a.m. Wednes-
day until time of services.
