Milladore man who fell against
a portable power-brush saw, being
operated by a fellow worker,
was pronounced dead on arrival
at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Marshfield Wednesday afternoon.
The victim was John Ashbeck,
Rt. 1, Milladore, a township em-
ploye. The saw was operated by
Hector Hassl, also of Rt. 1, Milla-
dore.
Witnesses said the accident oc-
curred here about 3:30 p.m.
while a crew was clearing brush
from a roadside...
Funeral services for Mr. Ashbeck
will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday
at St. Killian's Catholic
Church in Blenker. The Rev.
Robert Oberwinder will officiate
and burial will be in the
parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Ash-
beck home beginning this eve-
ning. A general rosary service
will be held at 8 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Ashbeck was born in Mil-
ladore April 22, 1899, and lived
here his entire life. His mar-
riage to the former Martha
Tremel took place at St. Kil-
lian's Church Oct. 9, 1923.
His wife died May 26, 1959.
Survivors include three daugh-
