Mollie Cacir died peacefully in Houston, just 10 days before her 101st birthday. Mollie was born on December 10, 1907 in Tyler, Texas, daughter of William and Lena Cacir. As a teenager, she moved to Houston with her family, where she graduated from Central High School. After graduation from high school, Mollie became a dedicated career woman, working as secretary and right-hand woman for a retail clothing store. She became indispensable in several insurance agencies over a span of four decades until her retirement, assisting the salesmen and running the office. She was also an active Life Member of Hadassah, and a life-long member of Adath Emeth and United Orthodox Synagogues. She traveled extensively within the United States and abroad, visiting Europe and making an aliyah to Israel.

Mollie is survived by her beloved sister, Anne Lichtenstein; devoted nieces Shirley Alter and her husband Jack, Wenda Kolodny and her husband David, and Donna Alwais; and an extended family in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Chicago, Kansas and California. Her numerous great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, will cherish her influence on their lives. Mollie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Ida Rosenthal and her husband Kelly, Rae Cacir, Louis Cacir, Bertha Wesler and her husband Nate, Harry Cacir and his wife Helen, and brother-in-law Edwin Lichtenstein; and nieces Geraldine Heller and Susan Hoffman. Mollie's family wishes to thank the loving care given by Dianna Moore, Yvonne Harmon, Marlene Lewis, Vera Brown, Patricia Jules, Peggy Sandra, Ellen Clark, and the staff at Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services.
