Cora was born on March 10, 1905 in Franklin, Texas to the late Pink and Mary (Smith) Mullins. She married James Lewis Means, Sr. on November 14, 1923. In November of 1938, they moved to a farm west of Ropesville. She lived there until just after her 100th birthday. She loved to quilt, crochet, travel and fish. She was a member of the Ropesville Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Monroe Means and wife Wanda of Lubbock, James Lewis Means, Jr. of Ropesville and Kenneth Means and wife Anita of Ropesville; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Lois McDonald, Grachel Lebowsky and Minnie Moore; and one brother, Holman Mullins.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Mary Evelyn Barbee; a son, Curtis Don Means; a granddaughter, Nina Means; a great-great grandson, Devon Luke Searsy; three sisters; and eight brothers.
