Producer and Writer. Born in Russia, his original name was Anatoliy Konstantinovich Grunwald. He attended the Sorbonne in Paris, then Caius College in Cambridge. From 1943 to 1945 he was a producer and writer at Two Cities Films. In 1946 he formed independent production company called International Screenplays together with Terence Rattigan. In 1959 he became a producer at MGM and among his films were: "Spy for a Day" (1940); "Now Barabbas was a Robber..." (1949); "Come Fly with Me" (1962). He received the highest award at the National Film Award for the best British picture made during WWII for "The Way to the Stars" (1945).
