He was born in Saint Benedict, Pennsylvania, a son to the late Mikolaj and Sophie (Gabrysh) Mazur.
He married Helen P. Bozek on November 23, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan.
Mr. Mazur served his country faithfully as a member of the U.S. Army during World War II.
He retired from Mark IV Industries, an automobile parts manufacturer which was located in Detroit.
He had been a member of the Blue Water Polka Boosters.
He enjoyed working in his backyard with the farm atmosphere. He loved to have a garden & raise his Polish chickens.
Stan loved to read and, as a sports fan, he enjoyed the Detroit Tigers.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; Sons, Stanley (Betty) Mazur of Richmond and Kevin (Mary) Mazur of Memphis; his Daughter, Debra Ponder of Memphis; Grandchildren, D. J. Ponder, and Ben, Katlyn, Jeff, Tom and Joe Mazur; his sister, Sophie (Irvin) Koper of Clinton Twp.; several great grandchildren, one great great grandchild & several nieces & nephews.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Joseph Mazur, Thomas Mazur, John Kowalski, Edward Kowalski, & Steve Kowalski; and two sisters, Mary Reynard & Frances Wills.
Services will take place on Monday at 11 A.M. in Kammeraad Funeral Home, Memphis, with The Reverend Harvey W. Reh officiating.
Interment will follow in Memphis Cemetery.
