Sarah "Sate" Elizabeth Cowlin Keeler was born 3 April 1846 in Ramsey, Huntingdonshire, England. She died 17 March 1931 in Kendrick, Latah County, Idaho. Her parents were Mary Hancock and Joseph Cowlin.

She married Charles Henry Keeler on 13 December 1863 in Cazenovia, Madison County, New York.Sarah came to America with her family from England when she was six years old. They settled in New York where she met and married Charles Keeler. They migrated to Nebraska in 1891 and on to Idaho in 1910. They moved on to Cedar Creek where they lived on the Bruce Vaughan place. Later on they bought the John Alexander homestead and moved there.
Charles, Jr. and his wife lived on the Butcher place. They later moved to Kendrick.
When his father died in 1917, Elmer and his family moved in with Sarah. The Vaughan place was sold to Darbys. Elmer was killed in a blasting accident while working on the Star cut-off road in 1922. He and another man had placed four charges in the road. When one failed to explode, Elmer went to install another fuse and it exploded, killing him almost instantly. After his death, Bessie moved to Clarkston in 1929 where she lived until she died in 1951.
Rose Keeler married Gus Farrington in October 1914. They had three children together: Helyn, Lloyd, and Evelyn. After Gus died in 1930, Rose and the children moved to Kendrick. After her children had graduated from high school, she moved to Clarkston. In 1950 she married Roy Akin and they lived in Walla Walla. After his death in 1958, Rose moved back to Clarkston.
In 1926 Charlie and Millie with their children moved to the Keeler farm. Charle drove the school bus to Kendrick. He retired from farming in 1953 and they moved to Lewiston.
