KILLED BY A BLAST
Elmer Keeler, a well-known farmer of Cedar Creek Ridge was killed by a blast Thursday afternoon while working on the road.
He and Stewart Wilson had placed four blasts in the road. Three of them went off but as the third one failed to explode, Mr. Keeler walked over to put in another fuse. Just as he got there it went off, killing him instantly.
The accident happened shortly after the Gazette went to press, so no further details were available.
