Mrs. Montgomery, 99, died Saturday, Dec. 6, at Haven Hall Nursing Home. She was born in Wesson on Feb. 6, 1904, to Hattie McBride Keenan and William Everette Keenan.
She was retired from the Farmers Home Administration. She was a member of Matthews Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a past member of the Pilot Club of Brookhaven, Rose Craft Garden Club, Friendship Coffee Bible Study and Christian Women's Club.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Gene Montgomery; her sister, Lena Hodges; and her brother, Walter Earl Keenan.
Survivors are her niece Janice Brister and husband Shelby of Bogue Chitto; her great-niece, Sherry Sellers and husband Barry of Vicksburg; her great-nephew, Joel Brister and wife Christy of East Brewton, Ala.; her brother-in-law, Bill Hodges of Brookhaven; three great-great-nieces; three great-great-nephews; and a host of cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Matthews Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
