Death Claims McCall Creek Resident, 89
An illness of three months duration claimed the life of Albert W. Smith, age 89, of Route 2, McCall Creek, at 11:45 a.m. Friday, March 13, at the Meadville hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the New Salem Baptist Church, Rev. Wiley Reed conducting, burial following in the church cemetery, Brookhaven Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Smith leaves a son, Carl E. Smith, McCall Creek; four daughters, Mrs. Nora Applewhite, McCall Creek; Mrs. Ernest Smith, Quentin; Mrs. Leslie Vaughn, Brookhaven; and twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
Deacons of the New Salem Church served as pallbearers.
