Thelma was born January 6, 1920, in Owensville, Ind. to Clarence and Maggie (Covington) Anderson. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Thelma retired in 1981 from Stewarts Department Store, where she was the personnel manager. She was a member of Welborn Hospital Auxiliary Board, Eastern Star and bridge clubs. Thelma and her husband Ernest loved to travel and visited all of the United States. Thelma was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Higgs and her husband Benny of Chandler, Ind. and Barbara Wilmotte and her husband Bill of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren, Todd Higgs of Evansville, Tera Heldt and her husband Farley of Newburgh, Christy Means of Indianapolis, Ind., Eric Wilmotte of Indianapolis, Ind.; four great-grandchildren, Abagail Means, Alaina Means, Calen Heldt and Savannah Heldt.
She was preceded in death her parents, her husband of 66 years, Ernest Julian and her seven siblings; sisters, Elsie Anderson, Pearl Anderson, Verlie Newman, Lois Montgomery and Joyce Osborne and brothers, Paul Anderson and Maurice Anderson.
