Mr. Dykes passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004 in Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder.
He is survived by wife of DeRidder; son and wife of DeRidder; two granddaughters of DeRidder; two sisters; numerous nieces and nephews, two special brothers-in-law of Dallas and of Lewisville, NC; two special sisters-in-law of Houston and of DeRidder.
Mr. Dykes is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Mr. Dykes retired as Staff Sergeant from the U.S. Army after 17 years having served in Korea and two terms in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star. He also retired from the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Department after 12 years due to his health. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and a member of VFW Post #3619
Services were under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder
