Funeral services for Willie "Wilmer" Dixon, 70 , of Anacoco, Louisiana were held Sunday, September 29, 2013, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Anacoco, Rev's. Shannon Buxton and Louis Magee officiated. Burial followed in Self Cemetery in Hornbeck.

Willie, the son of Elmer Lee and Georgia Trapp Dixon, was born March 11, 1943. He passed away Friday, September 27 at Grace Home in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Willie began his career in law enforcement with the Leesville City Police following his graduation from Anacoco High School in 1962. He then retired from the Louisiana State Police with the rank of Lieutenant after 23 years of service. He served as the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Department Liaison to Fort Polk for 22 years. Willie was a Mason and member of Orange Lodge #319.

Willie is survived by his wife of 46 years; son and daughter-in-law of Anacoco; three grandchildren and their mother; three sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wayne Dixon.

Services were under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
