Rock Musician. John was one of founding members of the band "Styx". He was the guitarist who played and co-wrote such hits as "Lady" and "Suite Madame Blue". He played on Styx's first five albums. He left the band after recording Styx's breakout album "EQUINOX" because of philosophical differences with fellow band member Dennis DeYoung and the fact he wanted to spend more time with his family. After his departure, he played in some local bands in Chicago and owned and operated both a music store and studio.
