Formed in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in 1980, they released six albums and had a worldwide hit with the song "I Touch Myself" (1991). After the band broke up, she concentrated on a solo career. Other projects included film and theater acting and a biography. In 2006, she was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame as a member of Divinyls.
