Mrs. Elizabeth Clark, wife of E. B. Clark, of this city, who was stricken with paralysis on 7th inst., died on 10th inst, having been unconscious from the time of the attack. The deceased was a daughter of Benjamin and Fanny Thompson, born in Columbus, November 24, 1814, making her age 69 years 4 months and 17 days. She was married to her bereaved husband, in Chillicothe, January 31, 1833, joyously celebrating their golden anniversary, surrounded by their children and friends. They were the parents of nine children, six now living, viz: Edward B. Clark, of Indianapolis, IN, W. Scott Clark of Chillicothe, B> T. Clark of Chicago, Mrs. H. A. Myers and Misses Lizzie M. and Louisa V. Clark, of this city. The family circle also includes twenty four grandchildren and six great grand children. Mrs. Clark was a most estimable woman and highly regarded. In the tender relations of wife and mother, none were ever more devoted, kindlier, indulgent or more self sacrificing, and her sudden death is an irreparable loss to her family. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and died in the hope of a blessed immortality.
