JAMES W. CONNALLY, JR. died Thursday, October 18, 2007. He was an auto passenger and received massive injuries resulting from an auto collision in the Spring Branch area late Thursday afternoon. Preceded in death by parents, Hattie (nee Skopek) and James W. Connally, Sr., and special aunt, Josephine Bonham and spouse Claude. He is survived by childhood sweetheart and wife, Carol (nee Wimberly); children: Gary Connally and spouse Susan; Candace Sacco and spouse Mark; James C. Connally; Colleen Kell and spouse Rob; grandchildren: Jeffrey Connally and spouse Shannon, Rachael Peters and spouse George, Shawn Connally, Austin Sacco, Garrett Sacco, Ainsley Sacco, Candice Nicole Connally, Cameron Kell, Parker Kell and Jake Connally; great-grandchildren: Dylan Peters and Samantha Connally. James was a member of St. Thomas High School class of 1954, and a proud member of Texas A&M University class of 1959. Most business associates knew him as Jim. He was a regional manager for a pharmaceutical company, and in 1969 he bought Kwik Kopy Printing No. 5 franchise, located in the Spring Branch area. He took his company independent as Connally Printing and Office Supplies and closed that business around 2004. In the 1990s, he earned an associate degree in Culinary Arts from HCC, and entered the food industry; he retired after six years of employment with TDCJ as a kitchen supervisor. He was a member of Houston Bowling Association for a number of years, and other interests included golf and billiards. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Saturday, October 20, 2007, at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Visitation: 3 pm to 4 pm in the chapel, followed by a chapel service and interment in Woodlawn Garden of Memories. Rites conducted by Deacon Don Bradley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the charity of your choice, or the Blake Sandel Foundation, P.O. Box 1917, Huntsville TX 77342-1917.
