John Edward Beers, 78, died at his home in Fallen timber, Monday night after an extended illness. He was born August 11, 1864. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. John Beers; a son, George Beers, Cresson, and four daughters – Mrs. Cora Hamilton, Bristol; Mrs. Linda Caption, Akron, O., Mrs. Viola Keith and Mrs. Frances Thomas, both of Fallen timber. He was a brother of Charles Beers, Fallen timber, and Lafayette Beers, Akron O. There are 33 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Beers home at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon by Rev. George W. Bradley, pastor of the Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Beaver Valley Cemetery under the direction of C. J. Troxell, Glasgow mortician.
