Helen Margaret Diefenderfer of Sharon, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in her daughter's home in Sharpsville, after an illness. She was 76.
Mrs. Diefenderfer was born April 30, 1935, in Sharon to her parents, Samuel and Marguerite Rankin Gardner.
She graduated Sharon High School, then married her husband, Marvin Diefenderfer, who preceded her in death in 1994.
Mrs. Diefenderfer was an avid reader and could often be found at Community Library of the Shenango Valley in Sharon.
Mrs. Diefenderfer is survived by: four children, Gregg Diefenderfer and his wife Patricia "Sue," Sarasota, Fla.; Brett Diefenderfer, Hubbard; Kathleen Perriello and her husband John, Sharpsville; and Brad Diefenderfer and his wife Betsy, Transfer; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Besides her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Gardner.
