War of 1812 - George and his brother, Issac, both served in several battles at Plattsburg, Winchell's Bridge, Haarts Bridge and Pine Woods, NY.
George married ABIGAIL HERRINGTON 1 Oct 1806 in Washington, NY. George and Abigail had six children. She died in childbirth 02 Apr 1823 in Plattsburg, Clinton, NY.
George moved with his second wife, Isabell Stetson, by boat from Buffalo to Chicago with their family of 13 people in the spring of 1844. George and Isabell had fourteen children. Isabell died 08 Jul 1845 in ILL.
With the bounty land he acquired from his military service he built a log cabin and farmed in Lake County Illinois. until he died in Antioc Lake Couty in 1860.
