Sonja Rosalie Thorson, 73, of Black Canyon City, Arizona passed away on September 2, 2011, in Winnipeg, Canada. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Bennie CARL and Sylvia (Johnson) Thorson on December 4, 1937. She graduated from Florence High School in 1955. She married Leonard Just in 1957.
Sonja is survived by her fiance Kent Smyth of Canada, her children, Randy (Carol), Marcus, William (Deborah) and Coral (Charlie). Grandchildren, Cheraba Brandy, Retha and Crystal, Carl, Charlene, and Chris, and Aaliyah.
She is also survived by siblings, Bjorne, Ina (Bill) Marina, Carlina (Allen)Chris (Norman) Bennie MARTIN.
Sonja was preceded in death by her parents, her ex husband of 29 years Leonard, and her grandson Darryl Freeman.
Sonja's greatest joy was helping and healing others.
