Carl Gray, 65, Was Area Life Resident.
BURBANK - Carl Gray, 65, died Thursday morning at the Wadsworth Hospital following a two week illness.
He was born Feb. 15 1891, in Smithville and spent his entire life in this community. He was a farmer but for the past six years was employed at the Wooster College. He was a member of the Church of God at Aukerman.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Ramsier of Leroy, Mrs. Alpha Emig of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Iona Sigler of Wadsworth and Miss Janet Gray of the home; four sons, Merle of Burbank, Richard of Jefferson, Iowa, Elwin of California, and Ray of Millersburg; 20 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Skelly of Orrville, Mrs. Mary Markel and Mrs. Daisy Fike of Smithville.
His wife Jessie, died November 12, 1956.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Church of God at Aukerman with the Rev. Earl Leavers officiating. Burial will be in Smithville.
Friends may call Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m., at the Elliott funeral home in Lodi. Fulton Funeral Home in Grafton has charge of arrangements.
