My Adopted Aunt

Aunt Margaret lived next door to my Grandparents(Knouse)
On Vine St in Emporium Pa.
I grew up with her 5 daughters and they
where like my First Cousins to me and my sister.
Every Summer we where at Grandma's
and I have wonderful Memories.
From 1947 to 1959

As the years went by, I always stopped and said Hi
on my way home from Ohio visiting my cousin Joan
Then Back to NYC
Margaret always asked about Joan Knouse(Sanford), my sister and brother. She would give me all the news
to tell my Mom(Chris) about Emporium.
We would talk about Grandma and the pass,
Stuff I never Knew.
How Chris (Mom) cut one of the girls hair and
it came out Great. Now That was a Good One :)
Then she would bring up Grandma's Donuts, with tears in
her eyes up to 2011...She also called her Grandma too
My Mom was like a Sister to her.
What Great advice she gave me each year
and boy did she have a great sense of humor.

Margaret, I will always Remember Our Visits
and Going out to Lunch with You (and Patrick)
She use to say, we can't forget Patrick.
Who is Patrick? I would ask ...My Cane :)

We went Up to The cemetery to see
Grandma,Grandpa,Chris and Ted (my parents)
and she showed me her husband's grave.
This was in 2009/10.
(Last year it was below
freezing and very snowy)
and she said.
"They will never get away
from me. I'm going to be buried
right in the Middle of Them"
with the Biggest Smile Every.
Bless Her Heart.

Thank You for being (My Rock )
at Mom's(Chris) Funeral on 3-9-05.
Thank You for telling me to get another
little dog after Tai Passed.
Since You became his New Granny
when Mom Passed on 3-4-05

Photo's here are from 2011 and 2005

I was in Emporium Yesterday 3-1-12 and
went up to the cemetery to see Mom/Dad
as it would have been Mom's Anniversary this
Sunday and I saw You.
This, Really Hurts
But I do Know
You are with Grandma and Chris
Now and Your Family.
So I am At Peace.

You will also be added to My List
at St Mark's R. C. Church for yearly
Memorial Mass with the Knouse Family.
