Professional basketball player. After playing basketball and football for Butler University, he was offered a tryout with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1942 but turned it down. He played for the Indianapolis Kautskys of the National Basketball League during the 1942-43 season. He then joined the Air Force. After the war, he returned to Butler to graduate. He resumed his play with the Kautskys in 1946, playing with them through 1948. He was on the Kautskys national championship team in 1947. He was inducted in Butler's Hall of Fame in 1995. After basketball he worked in the insurance business.
