Devo was our first Whippet, Because of her we are smitten with this wonderfull breed. We came upon her abandoned in a garage with her mom and a huge litter of brothers and sisters. We werent really dog lovers untill she came into our lives and stayed for 14 yrs. I still remember how tiny she was and how freezing cold it was in that garage. I took her and put her in my coat pocket where she fit with room to spare. It was a friend of ours that was going to rent the house that this garage was on and we couldnt beleive that someone would leave behind such little babies in Janurary with the temp. below zero. The authorities were called to find homes for the rest of them
