Mrs. Helms, 75, of Charlotte, NC died Monday May 17, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born in Cherokee, SC, daughter of the late Walker and Lula Reins Martin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Helms, a daughter, Barbara Jean Helms and a brother, Walker Martin, Jr.
Mrs. Helms retired from Constar Plastics.
Mrs. Helms is survived by two sons, Terry and Butch Helms, both of Charlotte; sister, Arbutus Redman of Charlotte; grandsons, Joey and Johnny Ray Helms; brother, Joe Martin of Monroe, NC, two step-sisters, Nancy Hobbs and Artha Ruth Keeter; step-brother, John Kenneth Phifer; sister-in-law, Cynthia Carpenter; and Pauline's dear friend, Geraldine Coley.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Bethel Baptist Church with burial following in Gesthemane Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
