Cecil E. Hawkins, 86, of 21 Elizabeth St., died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital. He was the husband of Daisy Speller Hawkins.
Born in Gowanda, N.Y. on Feb. 9, 1893 he was the son of the late Vinnia [actually Zina] and Anna Westin Hawkins. He was a 60- year Stamford resident.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Elmer Hawkins of Old Saybrook; one daughter, Mrs. Charles [Margaret] Biggs of Norwalk; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien, with the Rev. Paul Harbough officiating. Friends may call at the Bouton and Reynolds Funeral Home, 545 Bedford St., Stamford, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
