Kent Farkas D.V.M.
Dr. Farkas, age, 57, of Gainesville, formerly of New Port Richey, died Monday (Sept. 23, 2002) in Gainesville. Born in Cleveland, he moved to New Port Richey in 1985 from Grand Rapids, Mich. He was the owner of Best Care Veterinary Clinic, New Port Richey, and was a member of the American Veterinary Medicine Association. He was Methodist. Survivors include his wife; three daughters and a sister.

------------------------------
He was the veterinarian at Best Care Animal Hospital in New Port Richey, Florida.
He took care of my dogs and cats for a few years. When my dog Oreo was close to death and Dr Farkas spent the whole night taking care of him. Oreo survived and lived many more years. This was a veterinarian who really loved animals. He took care of Oreo, and my dog used to be a very very difficult dog to treat. He would freak out at the vet but Dr. Farkas treated him and saved his life. I will never forget Dr. Farkas for that and when he died, the world lost a great doctor.
