Chance Ashton Adams, age thirteen, and Dalton Allen Adams, age three, sons of David Allen and Brenda Ann SalkillAdams, departed this life Tuesday, January 13, 2004, in a tragic fire that destroyed their home, near Hartville, Missouri. They were preceded in death by their maternal grandmother, Kathleen Emily; their maternal grandfather, Verl McHenry; their paternal grandparents, Ben and Mildred Hoffman; and two cousins, Brian Hutton, and Mark Byrd, Jr. Chance and Dalton are survived by their parents, David and Brenda Adams, of the home; their maternal grandfather, Paul Tellef, of Huntington, Indiana; their maternal grandmother, Janet Suter, and her husband, Ken, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; their paternal grandparents, Robert and Carolyn Hopkins, of Warsaw, Indiana; their sisters, Erica, Brittany, and Cassandra Loy, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Chance was born April 23, 1990, in the Pinecreek Lodge in Clark, Colorado, and moved with his family to the farm near Hartville, when he was nine and a half years old. He was in the seventh grade of home schooling, and liked helping his dad teach his Red Cross classes.
